Palmerston North to Whanganui
If you live in Palmerston North and wish to study/work at UCOL in Whanganui, you can travel on UCOL's free intercampus bus. Simply register with Facilities Management and show your UCOL ID to the driver. Places are limited, so conditions apply. In the event of a delay, UCOL's Facilities Management team will notify students/staff of the details and will ask you to wait in UCOL's Atrium.
6:45am - The bus departs outside Stage Door Cafe on King Street, Palmerston North. It passes through Bulls* at approximatley 7:15am. The bus arrives in Whanganui at 7:45am.
5:15pm - The bus departs from UCOL on Rutland Street, Whanganui for the return trip to Palmerston North. It arrives in Palmerston North at approximately 6:30pm.

Whanganui to Palmerston North
If you live in Whanganui and wish to study/work in Palmerston North, you can travel free by bus with Horizons each weekday, except public holidays. Free wifi is available. Simply present your UCOL ID to the driver and you'll be issued a ticket.
6:45am - The bus departs from UCOL in Whanganui. It passes through Bulls* at approximately 7:15am arrives in Palmerston North at 7:45am.
5:15pm - The bus leaves Palmerston North for the return trip and arrives at UCOL at 6:30pm.
*Bulls isn't a scheduled stop, and space isn't guaranteed, but it is possible to catch the bus, and be dropped off there on the return trip.
Pick-up in Sanson
Students can catch the Whanganui to Palmerston North commuter bus in Sanson. This bus is free for UCOL students. The Sanson pick-up location is only available to UCOL students and staff, and you'll need to call Tranzit the day before to confirm your pick-up. Tranzit's contact number is 06 355 4955 (dial 2 for Tranzit office).
The pick-up location is opposite the Z petrol station on the State Highway, and the bus should arrive in Sanson at around 7.30a.m. Drop-off is outside Z. The pick-up location is not marked as a bus stop, so please signal to the driver when the bus approaches. This location is also used by the Marton commuter service, so please ensure you get on the Whanganui bus as the Marton bus has a cost.
