We want to make sure your first week at UCOL is a great experience. Join us for official welcomes, academic and career sessions, food and fun. Attending Orientation Week (O-Week) will help you meet other students in your class, find your way around campus and prepare you for study.

Palmerston North campus events

UCOL's campus in Palmerston North

Monday
9:30am - Pōwhiri - The official welcome of all new students and staff on campus. New students are to gather on the lawn on Princess Street, where you will be briefed on, and start the Pōwhiri. 

10:30am - Join us for some kai in The Atrium.

11am - 1pm - Various activities are happening on campus for you to enjoy.

Tuesday
11am - 1pm - Takaro Day - Find out about clubs and sports at UCOL, how to start your own club, and enjoy some fun activities.

Wednesday
11am - 1pm - Market Day - Join us for a day celebrating the various businesses and organisations that provide services to UCOL students.

Thursday
11am - 1pm - Student Success Day - Find out about the services available to you and meet the staff dedicated to your success. You'll have the opportunity to sign up as a class rep and meet the AS@U (students association) team who represent the student voice.

Friday
11am - 1pm - Bring your lunch and join us on the lawns outside The Atrium, and chill out to DJ music.



Whanganui campus events

Monday
11am - 1pm - Student Success Day - Find out about the services available to you and meet the staff dedicated to your success. You'll have the opportunity to sign up as a class rep and meet the AS@U (students association) team who represent the student voice.

Tuesday
10am - Welcome Pōwhiri - The official welcome of all new students and staff on campus. Gather in the car park on Taupo Quay in preparation for the Pōwhiri, which starts at 10:30am at nearby Pākaitore.

11:30am - Join us for some kai in The Atrium.

Wednesday
11am - 1pm - Market Day - Join us for a day celebrating the various businesses and organisations that provide services to UCOL students.

Thursday
11am - 1pm - Food, Music and Whanau Day - Join us in The Atrium and nearby for music, fun activities and a free lunch. This is a great time to meet other students and staff who will be with you on your learning journey. Bring your whanau along to campus to see where you spend most of your time.

Friday
11am - 1pm - Takaro Day - Find out about clubs and sports at UCOL, how to start your own club, and enjoy some fun activities.



Masterton campus events

3pm - Welcome Pōwhiri - The official welcome of all new students and staff on campus. Join us at the wharenui and for some kai afterwards.

11am - 1pm - Food and Music Day - Join us on the lawns and in the Hub for music, fun activities and a free lunch. This is a great time to meet other students and staff who will be with you on your learning journey.

Wednesday
11am - 1pm - Market Day - Join us for a day celebrating the various businesses and organisations that provide services to UCOL students.

11:30am – 12pm - O'Week Yoga - Students are invited to join us by the stream for a free yoga session where we'll practice basic standing and breathing poses. No need to bring mats.

Friday
11am - 1pm - Whanau Day - Bring your whanau along to campus to see where you spend most of your time. BYO lunch and chill out with us on the lawns around campus.



Levin campus events

12 - 2pm - Join us for music, fun activities and a free barbeque lunch. Also find out about the services available to you and meet the staff dedicated to your success. You'll have the opportunity to sign up as a class rep and meet the AS@U (students association) team who represent the student voice.
