The Wairarapa campus is located in the heart of Masterton and has strong ties with the community and local iwi, Rangitāne o Wairarapa and Kahungunu ki Wairarapa, ensuring the campus is consistently working to meet the region's training needs.
The campus is set amongst trees and streams, with space for students to meet and study. UCOL Wairarapa is close to the CBD, with easy access to cafes and shops, with an on-campus childcare facility and cafe. Central to the campus is Whakaoriori Marae, which includes the campus' whā nau room. The marae serves iwi and the wider community, alongside our students and staff.
On campus, the facilities include purpose-built spaces for trades students, industry standard science and clinical laboratories, hairdressing salon, beauty therapy clinic, music studios and commercial kitchen as well as computer labs. There is a library available for student use, which is part of the SMART library network. This enables students to borrow books from other libraries within the wider region, and UCOL shares its library resources across all campuses. To keep students connected, free wireless internet and laptops are available for students on campus.
