The New Zealand Certificate in English Language Level 2 will provide students with the language skills required to communicate in basic, familiar, everyday situations in order to participate in an English language environment.

This programme also helps you improve your skills for IELTS, TOEFL and other English Proficiency tests.

Domestic Entry Requirements

The Academic Requirement for entry into the New Zealand Certificate in English Language, Level 1 is the New Zealand Certificate in English Language (Level 1) or equivalent skills and knowledge. A diagnostic test to identify the Level at which the student should begin studying may be used.

International Entry Requirements

The Academic Requirement for entry into the New Zealand Certificate in English Language, Level 1 is the New Zealand Certificate in English Language (Level 1) or equivalent skills and knowledge. A diagnostic test to identify the Level at which the student should begin studying may be used.

Advice & Guidance

All students are encouraged to access support and guidance to improve study, research and academic skills. 

The New Zealand Certificate in English Language, Level 2 comprises 60 credits. 

Applications for Recognition of Prior Learning, including Cross Credit, Credit Transfer and Assessment of Prior Learning may be made on the Recognition of Prior Learning Form where a student believes all learning outcomes for a course or unit standards have already been met.

If you're a domestic student, this course isn't available to you, however enquire about UCOL's New Zealand Certificate in English Language Level 3.
