This includes learning about the many careers available in different specialist areas, including Airforce, Army, Navy, Police and Fire.

 Career & Study Outcomes

Successful completion of UCOL's Service Academy programme is the first step in a journey. You will know what you need to do to pursue a career New Zealand Armed Services - Airforce, Army, Navy, Police or Fire. If this is for you, you can undertake further tertiary studies in:

  • Academy Police Pathway Level 3
  • Academy Exercise and Sport Level 2
  • Academy Health Level 3

  • New Zealand Fire Service
  • Ambulance Medic

 Domestic Entry Requirements

For year 11 - 13 secondary school students (NZ Citizens, permanent residents or students with an applicable visa allowing them to be enrolled in a secondary school).

Applications are to be received from participating schools.

UCOL's STAR Service Academy programme is part of a suite of programmes offered by UCOL to secondary students seeking to explore their career options while still in school.

Costs
Fees-free for students. Upon successful application your school will pay UCOL a fee.
