Equipped with new skills and a taste for industry, you will know what you need to do to pursue a career in road transport, distribution and warehousing. If this is for you, you can undertake further tertiary studies in:

  • Academy Logistics (Commercial Road Transport)

 Course Information

Unit Standard 10851 (Level 3) (7 Credits)
Operate a powered industrial lift truck (forklift).

Note: Achievement of this unit standard does not entitle holders to operate a forklift on a public road. To operate a forklift on a public road, the operator must hold a full drivers licence for the appropriate class of vehicle with Type F (forklift) endorsement.

 Learning Facilities

Study at UCOL's dedicated trades facility.

 Domestic Entry Requirements

For year 11 - 13 secondary school students (NZ Citizens, permanent residents or students with an applicable visa allowing them to be enrolled in a secondary school).

Applications are to be received from participating schools.
