Wairarapa Ceremony

The date for Wairarapa's 2017 graduation ceremony is confirmed for Tuesday 28 March 2017 at 2:30pm at Wairarapa College.

If you are eligible to graduate as a result of completing your programme at UCOL you will need to apply to graduate and confirm your address so you are able to receive your award – whether it is via post or in a ceremony. You will be sent an application form with your academic record at the conclusion of your study. Please note any student debt (course fees, library fines/outstanding book returns, etc.) must be cleared before graduating.

Ceremony details

Ceremony timetables are provided to all students who are graduating in person, via graduation packs distributed in January/February. These packs also contain items such as academic dress hire information, parking permits, and photographer information. There are no restrictions on guest numbers at UCOL Wairarapa ceremonies.

At the end of the Graduation ceremony, the official academic party and graduates exit the venue to form a procession. Guests should remain in their seats until all graduates have exited. Guests are invited to join in on the end of the procession which will proceed through the centre of town to the Student HUB at the Wairarapa Campus for light refreshments.

An official photographer will be present during the ceremony to take a photo of everyone receiving their award. For portrait packages the photographer will be available at the Student HUB after the ceremony. A leaflet will be enclosed within graduation packs outlining the prices and ordering information. Individuals are welcome to take photos and videos during the ceremony.
